The Heyday logo first appeared on the LCD screen of a corrupted Tamagotchi in 1998. A sentient Furby reportedly recruited a small militia of susceptible Tamagotchis whose stated aim was to "end humanity's heyday". The group briefly became a suspect during the Millennium Bug investigation before being ruled out for "lack of a plausible mechanism"—a conclusion that satisfied almost nobody.
